Dear Holly,
It's been two months now since I adopted "AsGoodAsItGets" (nicknamed Mutombo). He has become the absolute love of my life and my husband and kids are kinda fond of him too! He is thriving in his new home and is fastly becoming a barn favorite. I can't thank you enough for allowing me to bring this wonderful friend into my life, I feel like I have purpose again! I look forward to adopting from you again and I recommend you to everyone I talk to that is thinking of another horse. What you do is wonderful and I owe my newfound love and friendship to you. Thanks again!

I don't know if you remember me but I got the two bask Arabs. from you the first of July. I just want you to see some pick of before and now. They are doing great. They are so happy and we love them so much. Thank you for your help. I hope we can see each other in the future when we get more horses. Talk to you later .

A Letter Of Success:
Last November, I bought a little curly pony (Victor) for my kids that we named McCoy. While we were there, an emaciated, very beat up Arabian kept prancing around in front of us and I thought -- apparently out loud -- "Wow". That horse is really very beautiful.
Well, it didn't take long for Holly to pick up on that and she offered the horse (then named JR) to me along with the pony. I of course said yes.
Well, the trailer pulled up at our stables and JR popped out and flew right into Liana's hands -- |

she renamed him Boise and we started on the road to get Boise back into shape. Shawn, our great girlfriend, fell in love with Boise that very day as Liana turned him loose to run in our turnout and made Boise her own very special project. Between the three of us, he blossomed, put on weight, and is now truly the beautiful horse that we all saw in that beat up little Arabian last fall. On Easter Sunday, Boise left our stables, fat and happy, to live with Shawn and her family. They are very lucky to have such a great animal.
The greatest gift of all is that what he is. Liana gave him love and nourishment when he had been so far gone. Liana and I found him the perfect human friend in Shawn and we gifted this sweet beast to her and she in turn, gave Boise a new and forever home.
Thanks Holly....

Rescued From Racing...
In 2003 I adopted a 4 year old gray Thoroughbred gelding named "DD" (now known as "Beau") from Holly. Since then, I have been training him for Hunter/Jumper. In September 2004, I took Beau to his first show in which he was Reserve Champion for his division.
On October 17, 2004 Beau went to his second show ever, and he
was Champion in his division. I love my horse very much... He is my best friend.

His name is "Doubt" and he is my best friend...
This is a horse that I got from rescue a horse last November. He was a racehorse with a suspensory injury.
It has taken almost a year for him to recover. I have hand walked, groomed and just hung out with him every day and became his best friend. Two weeks ago I saddled him up for the 1st time and got on.
He took very good care of me and what an incredible ride he is! I am glad that I was not able to ride him right away, it gave us both time to know each other and build a very special relationship. |

Dear Holly: I wanted to update you on Naz, Classic and Sissy. They are in their new homes and doing great! Both Naz and Classic are such nice calm boys - Sara loves them and takes them in the green front pasture for exercise. Classic may need to have another tooth taken out, we'll see - Sara has ridden him already and he was great!
Sissys jaw is healing fine - almost all closed up - I took care of the wounds and Sara helped. My husband is stunned - he has not met them yet. He'll be fine.
We are feeding them lots of food and letting them rest, thanks again - we will come and see you when we are back in AZ in August - I am taking nice retired horses for board so don't forget to refer any one to me.

A Letter Of Success:
Dear Holly,
I adopted Striker in December of 04. I just wanted to thank you for the opportunity you gave me and him. Striker has come a long way in a very short time. I have earned in total trust and can do anything with him. I have never seen a horse have so much trust in a person in so little time. I can even crawl under him and sit And he will not move. We do have a little codependent problem, he is great with other people as long as he Can see me but not when I am not there. Striker loves to play and has a soccer ball and a pylon that are his Favorite toys. He will play chase with me as well, he likes to chase me and is so funny when he catches me.
Striker has learned how to kiss and they are very wet. Once again Holly you are so wonderful and no one can be happier that you do what you do for these horses. Thank you for the gift you've given me. I promise to always cherish him.

A Letter Of Success:
We have adopted a number of horses from Holly. Too many to put all their pictures here. They are all success stories with not one in particular. We've had the opportunity to allow a couple to live the remainder of their lives in comfort and love. We have had the opportunity to allow race horses to rest and heal in comfort and love and to be productive sires and dams and loving partners. Thank You Holly for the fantastic job you are doing.
