What a Donation Means for the Horses

It's a shame a horse rescue even has to exist and in a perfect world everyone would be knowledgeable, willing and able to care for their horses - however in reality that isn't the case.

People get horses they can not care for, beat them in a poor attempt at training them, starve them either out of ignorance or to "break" them into submission and some horses are raced to the point their tendons bow and then packed callously off to the slaughter house where they are to become steaks for European dinner plates.

These horses must be cared for physically and need medical care, assistance in healing, good food, supplements and a place to stay. All of these things cost money and rescues like this survive on the compassion of others. If you can not afford to give a horse a good home, please consider donating to the upkeep of the horses - you'll be doing a good deed for all of them.

On the average, it costs $250 per month per horse to care for them and those demands must be met. With the holiday season coming up, consider making a donation in memory of a friend that had a love of nature in general or horses in particular. If you aren't sure what to get for a hard to buy for friend, make a donation in their name, it's fully tax deductible and with your one donation, you'll be helping improve the lives of so many!
